Important! If you look at what kind of plywood to use for flooring based on inexpensive joists, then grades 1-4 will do. But double marking of sheets is possible: 1/3, 2/2 - this means that one side corresponds to a high grade, and the other to a low one.

  1. The nature of the processing varies according to grinding: Sh1 – processing of one side, Sh2 – both sides are sanded, NSh – no grinding. You can use any slabs for the floor along the joists, but it is better to use one-sided sanding to get a perfectly smooth base for finishing.

The technology for arranging a floating floor is as follows:

Installation of floors on joists

Not in all cases it is possible to lay plywood directly on the base. If the subfloor has significant unevenness, it must be leveled. For these purposes, logs are most often used - wooden beams, on top of which the flooring is mounted.

The installation of plywood floors on joists is carried out in the following sequence:

  • work begins with preparing the base according to the scheme described above;
  • a waterproofing film is spread over the prepared surface;
  • then the logs are installed, which are usually made from wooden beams. Installation begins with marking the zero level - a horizontal line is drawn along the perimeter of the walls, and it should be located at the same level as the surface of the joist;
