Today we will bake potatoes in the oven. The dish is very tasty, does not require much expense or effort, but you will undoubtedly like the result. You can use any spices you like. I will use my favorite ones - Provençal herbs. I'm just in love with this scent...

Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into 4 parts using a curly knife, if the potatoes are large, then into medium-sized slices

Add spices to the potatoes: I used a special seasoning for potatoes and Provençal herbs, don’t forget to add salt to taste and add a little vegetable oil, after which you need to mix everything well


Line a baking sheet with parchment and lay out potato wedges


Place in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. Be guided by the power of your oven; some may need less time, others more.


In the meantime, let's prepare the sauce ourselves: mayonnaise, sour cream, a couple of cloves of garlic through a press, fresh herbs - mix well, the aromatic sauce is ready for use.
Serve the finished potatoes hot. It turns out very tasty, not so harmful, firstly, it was baked, and secondly, after all, we used a minimum of oil when cooking.

Whatever one may say, it’s boring without potatoes. From time to time you crave fried potatoes or soft and fluffy mashed potatoes. But there is another alternative, healthier and no less tasty - baked potatoes in the oven.

The easiest way to bake potatoes is simple: just wash the tubers, season with salt and pepper and throw on a baking sheet, cook until soft. But such a simple and familiar side dish can be easily transformed if you include a little imagination.

There are a lot of options for how to deliciously bake potatoes. Let's try one of them. Choose spices and ingredients according to your taste. You can add a little grated cheese or add aromatic onions. A large field for creativity and delicious experiments.

What products are needed for cooking

  • For 1 kilogram of potatoes:
  • Olive oil 4 tbsp. l
  • Dijon or any other mustard 3 tbsp. l
  • Salt, black pepper, garlic and asafoetida - to taste
  • Wine vinegar 1 tbsp. l
  • Ground coriander 2 tsp
  • Paprika or red pepper 2 tsp
  • Leaves of dried herbs: rosemary, thyme, oregano 1 tsp each

You can also use grated cheese, mayonnaise, fresh or dry onions - according to your taste

Preparing Baked Potatoes

  1. Wash medium-sized potatoes and cut them into wedges. If you want to speed up the cooking process, pre-boil the potatoes for 5 minutes. Drain and drain the potatoes.
  2. Add salt, oil and all the flavorings. In addition to cheese, if you are using it, add it 10 minutes before the end of cooking.
  3. Mix thoroughly using a large bowl or large bag.
  4. Grease a baking tray with oil or use baking paper. Place potatoes in one layer. In this case, the potatoes will be crispy and well baked. If everything doesn't fit, use several baking sheets.
  5. Bake the potatoes in an oven preheated to 220 C for 25–30 minutes. If you did not boil the potatoes, then increase the baking time to 45-50 minutes, turning the slices once on the other side.

Potato dishes are one of the most versatile and easiest to make. Potatoes can be baked in their skins and slices, mashed, fried or simply boiled. The proposed option for cooking potatoes in the oven is simple, aromatic and surprisingly tasty. It is suitable for any occasion, no matter whether you are preparing dinner for the whole family or choosing something more spectacular for a special occasion. This is exactly what you will like and will not take much time to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 large raw potatoes
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • salt to taste

1) Peel the potatoes and cut into slices.

2) Place the slices in a deep, large plate, add salt, add 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix.


3) Separately, finely chop the garlic.

4) In a separate plate, mix dry herbs and garlic and grind. Next add bread crumbs and mix everything well.

5) Add a mixture of breadcrumbs, herbs and garlic to the potatoes. Mix everything.


7) Cook in a preheated oven at 180C for about 1 hour until the potatoes are soft.

Baked potato wedges with garlic and herbs are a wonderful side dish for meat, poultry, fish or vegetables.

To prepare accordion potatoes with Provencal herbs in the oven you need potatoes, Provencal herbs, salt, ground pepper, vegetable oil, garlic.


First, prepare the aroma oil. It contains only two ingredients - garlic and vegetable oil (sunflower or olive).

Peel the garlic cloves, pass through a garlic press or chop on the smallest grater. Add to the oil, stir. Leave for 15-20 minutes to infuse the garlic aroma.



Wash large potato tubers thoroughly in running water using a brush. Dry the washed potatoes with a paper towel.

Line an ovenproof pan or baking sheet with foil or parchment. Place the potatoes. Brush the top with aromatic oil using a kitchen brush.

Place the vegetables in the oven for 40-60 minutes. Bake at 190-200 degrees until soft. Baking time depends on your oven. You may need less or more time to get the desired result. During baking, remove the potatoes from the oven several times and brush them with the remaining garlic oil to make the vegetables juicier.



The accordion potatoes are ready in the oven. Serve hot with your favorite sauce, fresh herbs and vegetables.

Yes, in principle, they can safely act as an independent dish - the potatoes turn out to be very bright in taste and self-sufficient.

For 2 servings:
- 0.5 – 0.6 kg of small potatoes;
- 0.5 tsp. salt;
- 1/3 tsp. pepper mixtures;
- 1 tsp. dry Provençal herbs;
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.

How to cook with photos step by step





We will need very small potatoes, literally 2-3 cm in diameter. Of course, you can take a larger one and then cut it, but this will affect the appearance of the finished dish - after all, whole tubers look much more appetizing than pieces. You can find these small potatoes at the market or, if you go a bit overboard, in the supermarket. As a rule, it is not very popular - after all, cleaning it is very inconvenient and takes a long time. But in our case, this is not a problem at all - we will not peel the peel, but will only thoroughly wash the tubers. Try to choose potatoes without damage to the surface and approximately the same shape - either round or oblong. If you don’t want to doubt how thoroughly you washed the peels, I advise you to use a vegetable brush - then there will definitely be no dirt left on the potatoes.





Place the well-washed potatoes in a fairly deep container. Add salt, a mixture of peppers and Provençal herbs to it.





Pass the garlic through a garlic press and also add to the potatoes.







Drizzle the potatoes with vegetable oil. You can take olive oil, you can take sunflower oil, the main thing is that the oil is refined and odorless.





And thoroughly mix the potatoes with the spices, trying to distribute them over the entire surface of the potatoes.





Place the potatoes in a baking dish. The shape can be ceramic, glass, silicone, or Teflon coated - the main thing is that you enjoy cooking in it. Well, one more requirement is the size of the form. When baked, potatoes with garlic and Provençal herbs should feel free in it, arranged in only one layer. Even if there is free space left, emptiness is better than crowding. There is no need to grease the mold with oil first - after all, we added vegetable oil to the potatoes along with spices, this will be quite enough.







If your mold has a lid, that's great! If not, don’t be upset. Instead of a lid, you can use baking foil. Just cover the top of the pan tightly with foil in one layer.





Place the pan with potatoes in the oven, preheated to 220-230 degrees. And bake for 20 minutes. After this time, take out the pan, remove the foil (or lid) and carefully turn the potatoes over to the other side. Cover the pan again with foil (or a lid) and place in the oven for 20 minutes.





This time is enough for the potatoes to properly bake until golden brown. Just in case, check the potatoes for doneness using a toothpick or wooden skewer - the potatoes should be soft.





Place the potatoes baked in the oven with Provençal herbs and garlic on a plate, garnish with vegetables and herbs and serve immediately.
