Olympiastadion (Munich, Germany). Opened in 1972. Accommodates 69,250 spectators.

The final match of the first UEFA Champions League draw of the 1992/93 season took place at the Munich Olympic Stadium. “Marseille” and “Milan” fought for the trophy. The meeting, which took place on May 23, 1993, ended with the victory of the French team with a score of 1: 0.

The Munich arena hosted the second final of the main club tournament in Europe in 1997. In that match, Borussia Dortmund beat Juventus 3: 1.

Olympic Stadium (Athens, Greece). Opened in 1982, renovated in 2002-2004. Accommodates 69 618 spectators.

The Olympic stadium in the capital of Greece can be called a lucky one for Milan. After losing in the final of the 1992/93 season, the Italian club again reached the decisive stage of the tournament the following year, where they defeated Barcelona 4-0.

Thirteen years later, the Rossoneri again entered the Athens Olympic Stadium as a trophy contender, and again they managed to win, this time over Liverpool - 2: 1.

Ernst Happel Stadion (Vienna, Austria). Opened in 1931, reconstructed twice - in 1986 and 2008. Accommodates 55,665 spectators.

The arena in the Austrian capital hosted the 1994/95 UEFA Champions League final, with Milan appearing for the third time in a row. Like two years earlier, the Italians lost 0-1, but this time to Ajax.

"Stadio Olimpico" (Italy, Rome). Opened in 1937, the last reconstruction was carried out in 1989-1990. Accommodates 72 698 spectators.

In the 1995/96 season, Ajax arrived in Rome as the current winner of the Champions League, but the Dutch club failed to defend their title. Already in the first half of the match with Juventus, the teams exchanged goals, after which they brought matters to a penalty shootout. “Bianconeri” were more accurate and won the main club trophy in Europe.

The Olympic Stadium in Rome won the right to host the 2008/09 Champions League final again, but this time the local teams failed to make it to the decisive stage of the tournament. The trophy this year was won by Barcelona, beating Manchester United 2-0.

"Amsterdam Arena" (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Opened in 1996. Accommodates 54,990 spectators.

The stadium, which now bears the name of Johan Cruyff, hosted the Champions League final just two years after opening. In May 1998, Real Madrid and Juventus met at the Amsterdam Arena. The match ended with a score of 1: 0 in favor of the Madrid club.

Camp Nou (Barcelona, Spain). Opened in 1957, reconstructed twice - in 1995 and 2008. Accommodates 99 354 spectators.

Barcelona's stadium has seen many memorable matches, but the 1998/99 UEFA Champions League final stands alone. That meeting between “Bavaria” and “Manchester United” can be called legendary without exaggeration. The Germans took the lead already in the 6th minute and controlled the game until the last minutes, but two goals scored by the Mancunians in stoppage time in the second half brought the victory to Manchester United.

"Stade de France" (Saint-Denis, France). Opened in 1998. Accommodates 81,338 spectators.

The arena, built on the outskirts of Paris, was the venue for the Champions League final for the 1999/2000 season for the first time. Meeting “Real” and “Valencia” ended with a confident victory of the Madrid club with a score of 3: 0. This was the first time in the history of the Champions League that clubs from the same country played in the final.

6 years later, in the 2005/06 season, Barcelona and Arsenal competed for the trophy at the Stade de France. Londoners, from the 18th minute playing in the minority after the removal of goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, opened the scoring 10 minutes before the break, but in the second half goals from Samuel Eto “O” and Juliano Belletti brought victory to the Catalans - 2: 1.

"San Siro" (Milan, Italy). Opened in 1926. The last reconstruction was carried out in 1989. Accommodates 80,018 spectators.

Stadium "San Siro" was renamed in honor of Giuseppe Meazza in 1979, but the historical name of the arena remains the most popular and recognizable all over the world. The Champions League final has been played here twice.

In the 2000/01 season, Bayern Munich and Valencia played a dramatic match in Milan, in which the 11-meter kicks played the main role. Already in the 2 nd minute Gaisk Mendieta brought the Spaniards ahead from the penalty spot, and after 4 minutes the goalkeeper of the “Bats” Santiago Canisares deflected the 11-meter kick performed by Mehmet Scholl. At the beginning of the second half, Stefan Effenberg equalized the score from the penalty spot, and the fate of the match was decided in a series of post-match strikes, in which Bayern's players were more precise.

15 years later, in May 2016, Real Madrid and Atlético in the same arena almost exactly repeated the scenario of the game of Bayern and Valencia. The main time also ended with a score of 1: 1, in extra time the teams failed to distinguish themselves, and the “Royal Club” won in the penalty shootout.

Hampden Park (Glasgow, Scotland). Opened in 1903. Renovated in 1999. Accommodates 51,866 spectators.

Real Madrid and Bayer 04 entered Hampden Park in the Champions League final in May 2002, and six months later the arena celebrated its 99th anniversary. The match itself ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of “Real” and was remembered for the most beautiful goal of Zinedine Zidane from the penalty line.

Old Trafford (Manchester, England). Opened in 1910. The last reconstruction was carried out in 2006. Accommodates 74,879 spectators.

The second single-country final in modern UEFA Champions League history took place in the 2002/2003 season. In the decisive match of the tournament, which took place in Manchester, Milan and Juventus met. The main and extra time ended with a score of 0: 0, and in the penalty shoot-out series Milan won the victory with an accurate shot from Andriy Shevchenko.

"Veltins-Arena" (Gelsenkirchen, Germany). Opened in 2001. The last time the capacity of the stadium was increased in 2015, today it is 62,271 people.

The arena has been bearing its current name since summer 2005, earlier it was called Aufschalke Arena. The stadium hosted matches of the World Cup and ice hockey. Since 2002, the annual Christmas race of biathlon stars has been held here.

The 2004 Champions League final, held in Gelsenkirkhin, is one of the most memorable for Russian fans, as one of the goals was scored by Dmitry Alenichev. The Porto midfielder has set the final score of the match against AS Monaco (3-0). The Portuguese team at that time was led by Jose Mourinho, who became the youngest head coach in history to win the main club trophy in Europe.

Olympic Stadium (Istanbul, Turkey). Opened in 2002. Accommodates 80,500 spectators.

The stadium in Istanbul was under construction for the alleged holding of the 2008 Summer Olympics, but Turkey's bid did not receive the required number of votes, and the Olympics took place in Beijing. Currently, the arena in Istanbul is named after the first President of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and is the largest in the country.

The 2005 Istanbul Champions League final is arguably the greatest in tournament history. In the decisive match, Milan beat Liverpool 3-0 after the first half, but goals from Gerrard, Schmitzer and Alonso turned everything upside down in the second half. There were no goals scored in extra time, and the British club turned out to be stronger in the penalty shootout.

Luzhniki (Moscow, Russia). Opened in 1956. The last reconstruction was carried out in 2017. Accommodates 81,000 spectators.

For the first time, Russia won the right to host the 2007/08 Champions League final, and this honorable mission was entrusted to the Luzhniki Grand Sports Arena. Chelsea and Manchester United fought for the trophy, the first time two English teams faced off in a Champions League decisive match.

The game caused great excitement among fans both in England and in Russia, more than 67 thousand spectators were present in the stands. In the middle of the first half, Cristiano Ronaldo brought Manchester United forward, but just before the break, Frank Lampard equalized the score. The second half and extra time passed without goals scored, and in the penalty shootout, the Mankunians were more precise.

"Santiago Bernabeu" (Madrid, Spain). Opened in 1947. The last reconstruction was carried out in 2001. Accommodates 81,044 spectators.

The home arena of one of the most successful clubs in modern football has hosted the Champions League final only once - in the 2009/10 season, but this so far only match has gone down in history.

In the Madrid final, Inter and Bayern Munich met. The match ended 2-0 in favor of the Italian club, and Jose Mourinho, who was working with the Nerazzurri at the time, became the third coach in history who managed to win the Champions Cup with two different teams (now there are five of them: in addition to the Portuguese Ernst Happel, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Jupp Heynckes and Carlo Ancelotti).

An interesting fact is that in the final of 2010 there was only one Italian in the Milanese - Marco Materazzi, and even he appeared on the field in the 90th minute of the match.

Wembley (London, England). Opened in 2007. Accommodates 90,000 spectators.

The new Wembley is built on the site of the legendary arena that has hosted the World and European Championships, the Olympic Games and many European Cup finals.

The 2010/11 Champions League final, which took place at the new Wembley, was in some sense a home for Manchester United, but it didn't help the Mancunians win the trophy. Barcelona, led by the trio Xavi - Iniesta - Messi, won 3: 1.

In 2013, Wembley hosted the first German Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The victory and the cup were brought to the Bavarians by the accurate blow of Arjen Robben, who in the 89th minute set the final score - 2: 1.

Allianz Arena (Munich, Germany). Opened in 2005. Accommodates 67,812 spectators.

The decisive match of the 2011/12 Champions League was the first final of the tournament, which took place at the home stadium of one of the participants in the meeting - Bayern hosted Chelsea in Munich. The account was opened only in the 83rd minute after hitting the hosts striker Thomas Muller, but five minutes later the leader of the attacks of Londoners Didier Drogba restored the balance.

The fate of the trophy was decided in a penalty shootout. Bayern took the lead again after a precise shot by Philippe Lam and a miss by Juan Mata, but then the visiting players made all their attempts, while the German team had two misfires. Thus, Chelsea won the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Millennium (Cardiff, Wales). Opened in 1999. Accommodates 73 930 spectators.

The home arena of the Wales national team was opened at the turn of the millennium, having received the corresponding name, but in 2016 the stadium received a new name - Principality Stadium, which with a certain amount of imagination can be translated simply as "Princely Stadium", since Wales is part of the United Kingdom, and the Queen's son Elizabeth II Charles bears the title of Prince of Wales.

But back to the Champions League. The final of the main club tournament in Europe took place here in 2017, with Real Madrid and Juventus participating in that match. Madrid won 4: 1 and won the second Champions League title in a row, and football fans will remember that meeting with the super goal of the Turin striker Mario Mandjukic.

Metropolitano (Madrid, Spain). Opened in 1994. Renovated in 2017. Accommodates 67,700 spectators.

Liverpool and Tottenham met in the 2019 Champions League final. The final was the first in history for Tottenham and the first since the final in 2013, where at least one Spanish club did not play. Liverpool, reaching the final for the second time in a row, won the match 2-0. Jurgen Klopp won the trophy in his third Champions League final as head coach.

“I remember the games in the Premier League, all the goals I scored, and they are always difficult and memorable. Final of the Russian Cup Europa League, where the best players play. It's hard to convey what emotions you get from a well-played game. What do you say here? Another level, increased interest from fans and the media. You realize that you are not playing for the city, but for the country. Everyone expects victory from you. And you understand that if you don't do your best now, then this opportunity will no longer exist. "

Ivan Nagibin, 29, formerly Chita and now a player at the Russian football club Siberia, remembers every goal he scored. He started his career here in Chita. He fell in love with playing football as a boy. Now Ivan is applauded by thousands of stadiums in Russia, and for us he is undoubtedly a pride. The correspondent of the Chita Sportivnaya newspaper recently met with Ivan. He spent two weeks in Chita on vacation and gave an exclusive interview to our newspaper.

"I left because the coaches changed"

Let's start our conversation about how your career began in Novosibirsk. You started here successfully and you were immediately invited there.

Yes, I played in the first division at FC Chita then. We had the final game in the city of Yekaterinburg. After the game, I was literally immediately told that the head coach of Sibir wants to see me in Novosibirsk. There were no problems. This is where the contract ended. I calmly left and there I already signed a contract with Siberia.

Yes, I immediately started a good game there, in Sibir. Scored goals. Everything was fine, on a great rise. Later it turned out that we had a change of coach. We were then at a training camp in Croatia, called from Tomsk, said that the head coach sees me at Tom. I went straight to my coach's hotel room. He categorically replied that I would not go anywhere, they were counting on me very much. Then we returned from the training camp to Novosibirsk, and I was safely released.

- Clear. Is the financial aspect of the issue important to you when you are invited to join other teams?

It doesn't matter to me. In general, I just love sports, I love football. Nowadays there are few clubs that pay good fees. Only teams playing in the Premier League have normal salaries. Big money or not, the main thing is always the game. You can make good money and sit quietly on the bench to replace, this is no longer good for anything. So the whole life will pass. This is not for me. But you can get less, and at the same time move, grow.

- But, nevertheless, you managed to make a good living?

Yes, I bought myself an apartment.

- Why did you have to leave Tom?

There was also a change of coach. It didn't work out for me right away. Although the leadership was not opposed to me staying in the team. They invited me back to Siberia, I agreed.

- How is it - to play against your own?

Interest Ask. I have only one feeling in my soul at such moments - to go out and prove that you are worthy to play in this particular team, you are a professional. Once "Siberia" met with "Tomyu" twice and twice we - "Siberia" beat the enemy. It's even fun to play against your own people.

- 2010 was a busy year in your biography for football events. Tell us about the most interesting ones.

These are, first of all, the matches in the Premier League, all the goals I have scored, and they are always difficult and memorable. Final of the Russian Cup, Europa League, where the best players play. Not every footballer will reach that level in his career. It's hard to convey what emotions you get from a well-played game. What do you say here? Another level, increased interest from fans and the media. You realize that you are not playing for the city, but for the country. Everyone expects victory from you. And you understand that if you don't do your best now, then this opportunity will no longer exist.

The emotional background of the team fell

- Now you are back in Siberia. How are the matches in Novosibirsk going?

With a full house. Gathering large stadiums that can accommodate more than 10 thousand fans.

- How did you play the second season?

To be honest, not really. In the middle, our coach Andrey Lvovich Gordeev, a man who is very fond of our football, the fans, left the club. Left the club for unknown reasons. The emotional background of the team dropped. He gave a lot to the players.

- Will it somehow change your professional plans?

No. This man showed how to play. The contract is not over yet. But there are already two suggestions from other teams. We will see.

Here, in Chita, you had your own audience, the audience loved you. Here the fans usually shouted: “Vanya, go ahead!”. And there, in Novosibirsk, did you win their recognition?

Yes, I felt it. Here, at the last game at the end of the match, when I was leaving the field, people stood, clapped, asked not to leave the club, to finish the game for at least a year. The same thing happened in Tomsk and Ufa. But Chita, to be honest, remains in my memory, because here I am a local, my own guy. There were so many goals scored here, there were interesting good matches.

- Do you dream of anything in terms of career advancement?

I am 29 years old. And I really want to play in the Premier League.

"I miss Chita"

- Do you call up your friends here?

Yes, sure. We exchange impressions about any matches, we will definitely meet. It is very important not to lose your Chita friends.

- What is the purpose now in Chita?

Just came home on vacation for two weeks. Brought grandchildren Ilya and Andrey to the parents. I try to come every year. I show the children to their parents, because the eldest 8-year-old son will soon begin his studies, the little one will have a kindergarten, everyone will have no time.

- Do you have a wife from Chita?

Yes, we met here in Chita when we were still students. She studied with my sister in a group. I am a year older. We met and have been together for eight years now.

- What are your impressions of the city?

I missed the city, my parents (sighs - author). It's just that Novosibirsk has a lot of opportunities for children and their future. The eldest son is already attending a hockey school, training for the second year.

About dad, the Chita team and the importance of good schools

- Tell me, how did you come to football?

In general, since childhood I love football, when I was little I went to matches with my dad. But my father and I are different. The role of the game was different. But it was only thanks to my dad that I started doing this sport. At one time, he sent me to a children's football school.

- Daddy continues to give you any advice, does he teach?

To teach - no, he gives advice. We call up after the games, it happens that he says: "At a certain moment it was necessary to do this or that." I try to listen, draw conclusions.

My first coach was Oleg Pavlovich Semenov (Iskra team). He coached my father some more. I studied there first, then - in the St. Petersburg shift. In St. Petersburg he lived with his grandmother. I could have stayed there, but I came to Chita, saw my parents and decided that I would not come to St. Petersburg again. Although now, many years later, I understand that, perhaps, it was necessary to stay in the city on the Neva. Then he became a player of Lokomotiv (later FC Chita). There was a good team, tournaments, trips.

In your opinion, is it enough just to love football to climb the career ladder, or does it require good training conditions?

You can, of course, love football, but good conditions are also important. This won't make the games worse. Take the Krasnodar football school, for example. Children are trained there on beautiful fields, and look at our Chita room, where children are trained. Although the coating is new here, the quality is not better. All this affects the level of the game. An artificial field is an increased injury rate. Natural fields and good schools are a pleasure for children. If you do everything right, they will happily walk and practice.

In Chita football, there is a corresponding development concept until the end of 2019, according to which our homegrown football players will appear.

Yes, this is not bad, I would even say a big plus. Young coaches and schools are working. I hope that a worthy replacement for good athletes will appear in Chita.

- What do you think, at what level is our Chita football today?

I watched the season. We finished in fifth place. This is not a level. Chita was to enter the top three. The financing of the club also affects, earlier with this issue it was better. Not everyone will agree to play for small fees.

- Do you think it is possible here, in Chita, to make a good team?

Yes, you can come to this. You can select a combat-ready squad, make such an average team with a good, competent coach.

- I would like you to wish something to our football players, amateurs.

Faith in the team, patience. Love football, go to stadiums!

Excerpt characterizing Nagibin, Ivan Alexandrovich

He crossed himself at the front corner and went up to Dolokhov, holding out a small black hand.
- Fyodor Ivanovich! He said, bowing.
- Great, brother. - Well, here he is.
“Hello, your Excellency,” he said to Anatol who was entering, and he also held out his hand.
- I tell you, Balaga, - Anatole said, putting his hands on his shoulders, - do you love me or not? BUT? Now co-serve the service ... On which one did you come? BUT?
“As the ambassador ordered, on your animals,” said Balaga.
- Well, do you hear, Balaga! Cut all three, and to arrive at three o'clock. BUT?
- How are you going to go on what? - said Balaga, winking.
- Well, I'll break your face, don't joke! - suddenly, rolling his eyes, shouted Anatole.
- Why joke, - the coachman said with a laugh. - Will I regret it for my masters? That the horses will gallop urine, then we will go.
- BUT! - said Anatole. - Well, sit down.
- Well, sit down! - said Dolokhov.
- Wait, Fyodor Ivanovich.
- Sit down, you're lying, drink, - said Anatole and poured him a large glass of Madeira. The driver's eyes shone on the wine. Refusing for decency, he drank and wiped himself off with a red silk handkerchief in his hat.
- Well, when to go then, Your Excellency?
- Why ... (Anatole looked at his watch) now and go. Look, Balaga. BUT? Are you in time?
- But how is the departure - will he be happy, otherwise why not keep up? - said Balaga. - Delivered to Tver, at seven o'clock kept up. I suppose you remember, Your Excellency.
“You know, I once went to Christmas from Tver,” said Anatol with a smile of remembrance, addressing Makarin, who looked at Kuragin with all eyes with affection. - Do you believe, Makarka, that it was breathtaking as we flew. We drove into the wagon train, jumped over two carts. BUT?
- There were horses! - continued the story of Balaga. “I then banned the young people attached to the Kaur,” he turned to Dolokhov, “do you believe, Fyodor Ivanovich, the animals flew 60 miles; I couldn't hold it, my hands were numb, it was frosty. He threw the reins, hold, they say, Your Excellency, himself, so he fell into the sleigh. So after all, it's not like driving, you can't keep it to the place. At three o'clock the devils reported. The left only died.

Anatole left the room and a few minutes later returned in a fur coat girded with a silver belt and a sable hat, dashingly worn on his trunk and very close to his handsome face. Looking in the mirror and in the very position that he took in front of the mirror, standing in front of Dolokhov, he took a glass of wine.
- Well, Fedya, goodbye, thanks for everything, goodbye, - said Anatole. - Well, comrades, friends ... he thought ... - my youth ... goodbye, - he turned to Makarin and others.
Despite the fact that they all went with him, Anatole apparently wanted to make something touching and solemn from this appeal to his comrades. He spoke in a slow, loud voice and swinging his chest with one leg. - Everyone, take glasses; and you, Balaga. Well, comrades, friends of my youth, we went for a drink, we lived and we took a drink. BUT? Now when will we meet? I will go abroad. Have lived, goodbye, guys. For health! Hurray! .. - he said, drank his glass and slammed it on the ground.
“Be healthy,” said Balaga, having also drunk his glass and wiped himself off with a handkerchief. Makarin hugged Anatol with tears in his eyes. “Eh, prince, how sad it is for me to part with you,” he said.
- Go, go! - shouted Anatole.
Balaga was about to leave the room.
- No, stop, - said Anatole. - Shut the doors, you have to sit down. Like this. - The doors were closed, and everyone sat down.
- Well, now march, guys! - said Anatole getting up.
Lackey Joseph handed Anatol a bag and a saber, and everyone went out into the hall.
- Where's the fur coat? - said Dolokhov. - Hey, Ignatka! Go to Matryona Matveyevna, ask for a fur coat, a sable cloak. I heard how they were being taken away, - said Dolokhov, winking. - After all, she will jump out neither alive nor dead, in what she sat at home; You hesitate a little, there are tears, and father, and mother, and now you are cold and back, - and you take it in a fur coat right away and carry it in the sleigh.
A footman brought a female fox cloak.
- Fool, I told you sable. Hey Matryoshka, sable! He shouted so that his voice rang out far across the rooms.
A beautiful, thin and pale gypsy woman, with shiny black eyes and black curly hair of a gray tint, in a red shawl, ran out with a sable cloak on her arm.
“Well, I'm not sorry, you take it,” she said, apparently shy in front of her master and feeling sorry for the cloak.
Dolokhov, without answering her, took a fur coat, threw it over Matryoshka and wrapped it up.
- That's it, - said Dolokhov. - And then like this, - he said, and raised the collar near her head, leaving it only slightly open in front of her face. - Then like this, see? - and he moved Anatole's head to the hole left by the collar, from which Matryosha's brilliant smile could be seen.
- Well, goodbye, Matryosha, - Anatole said, kissing her. - Eh, my fun is over here! Bow to Steshka. Well, goodbye! Goodbye Matryosh; you wish me happiness.
“Well, God grant you, prince, great happiness,” said Matryosha, with her gypsy accent.
There were two troikas at the porch, two fellow drivers were holding them. Balaga sat down on the front three, and, raising his elbows high, unhurriedly took apart the reins. Anatol and Dolokhov sat down with him. Makarin, Khvostikov and the footman sat down in the other three.
