Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. N.N. Priorova (full title Federal State Institution “Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after N.N. Priorova ") is a large orthopedic clinic in the SAO of Moscow.
Story
Since 1961, the director of the institute was M.V. Volkov, an academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.
From 1972 to 1974, scientists from the State Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, together with conducted research and clinical trials of exoskeletal systems for medical usedeveloped by Miomir Vukobratovich in the late 60s.
In 1971, Priorov was named. This institute was a methodological center for 19 research institutes of traumatology and orthopedics, opened in large cities of the USSR.
Since 1998, the head of the institute is Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergei Pavlovich Mironov. SP Mironov - President of the Russian Arthroscopic Society, Member of the International Executive Committee of the European Society for Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (ESSKA). He is the author of 11 monographs, 181 scientific work and publications. Under the supervision of Sergei Pavlovich Mironov, 13 candidate and 3 doctoral dissertations have been completed. GUN CITO is the largest scientific research base in the field of diagnostics and treatment in traumatology, orthopedics, bone pathology and rehabilitation, both in adult patients and in children. The institute has 15 scientific and clinical departments, 17 clinical and diagnostic laboratories and scientific departments, 16 operating rooms, two consultative polyclinics. On a functional basis, CITO has 2 centers: a scientific and practical center for traumatology, orthopedics and rehabilitation of children and adolescents, and a scientific coordination center for combat trauma.
On the basis of GUN CITO, there are two departments of advanced training of traumatologists and orthopedists (MAPO and MMA named after I.M.Sechenov). GUN CITO has a scientific and technical department with a laboratory for testing new materials in medical technology and metrology. Today CITO is not only All-Russian Center to provide assistance to patients with traumatological and orthopedic profile, but also the largest scientific institution and methodological center of Russia in the field of traumatology and orthopedics. The Institute's clinic has 500 beds, 11 operating rooms and an emergency operating room. During the year, the institute provides assistance to more than 6100 patients, including 1120 patients with acute trauma. Patients are provided with double and quadruple wards, luxury wards with all conveniences.
A 24-hour emergency room accepts about 6,000 patients a year. Emergency trauma care teams are equipped with three state-of-the-art vehicles. Their main purpose is to bring qualified medical care closer to the scene.
